Setting up Twitter
Before you start
You need to have a mobile phone number on file with Twitter before they'll allow you to create an app. If you already have a number associated with your account, then you don't have to do anything - go ahead and start the app creation process below.
If needed, you can update your profile by going your account Settings. Select Mobile in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen. Add your mobile phone number, then click on the Save Changes button. You're good to go!
Create a new Twitter application
Log in to Twitter and visit http://apps.twitter.com
Click Create New App
Give your application some details
Fill out a name and description for your app. These will be seen by your visitors, so make them descriptive.
Enter in the exact url for your website in both the Website and Callback URL fields.
Agree to the developer agreement and click to continue.
Modify the application permissions
Hit the Permissions tab and set the access type to Read only.
Visit the Settings tab and add optional additional information (recommended to not freak out your users)
Grab your keys and get going!
After updating and saving your settings, click on the Keys and Access Tokens tab.
Copy the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret into the settings box in Postmatic Social.
When you're ready for the Twitter login to go live, change the Status button to the On position, then click on Save Settings.
